Senior living marketing comprised a significant part of my design focus, which started in the mid-90s when Sunrise Senior Living ramped up its development initiative. I was an independent consultant for Sunrise communities countrywide for twelve years. I was largely responsible for executing a comprehensive design and marketing effort for 217 communities at one time. When Sunrise brought its marketing in-house, I made my services available to other senior living residences and developers. Design, marketing and consulting projects include:
- Brand development, correction and preservation
- Systematic process of design and marketing for pre-open development communities, from groundbreaking through grand opening and beyond
- Comprehensive design and marketing for Assisted Living, Independent Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, CCRCs
- Collaboration with architects for floor plans, renderings and signage
- Provision of large- and small-scale signage and tour markers
- Direct mail campaign design, production and distribution

- Partnering with specialty resources including but not limited to a sales/marketing consultant, media buyer, SEO expert, photographer, printer
- Branding assessment of printed material and brand intangibles such as company culture, communication style, goals
- DiSC® for Teambuilding for new teams, teams in distress or as part of a proactive teambuilding regimen
- Communication coaching for sales teams and leadership
